Ovulation spotting

I’ve never spotted during ovulation until this cycle. Started on CD10 when my fertile window began and I’m currently on CD18 and still spotting on/off. It’s not a lot, I doubt I’d even have to wear a pad. It’s mostly when I wipe and the color is dark brown - not like a usual period for me. But I do also have mild cramping on/off that’s a lot like my usual ovulation cramping. I just so happened to have a doctors appointment scheduled yesterday where we discussed it. She took a few tests - I think to test for infection/bacteria, which I’m still awaiting results for. She also made me do a pregnancy test which was negative. She said she’d probably refer me to an OBGYN if the tests she did came back negative (you have to get a referral from your GP where I’m from). I’m incredibly scared it’s something malignant like cancer. I have a lot of health anxiety. I’ve of course read almost every story on here and on Google.
