Hi. I’m 42 and just had a total hysterectomy last December (kept my ovaries). On Weds I had excruciating pain in my lower left pelvis. I’m talking 10 out of 10, screaming in pain. I tried multiple things. Heating pad, Advil, tramadol, gas-x. Nothing helped. Finally I caved and went to the ER. I threw up on their floor when I got there. 🥴 Within my 8 hour visit, they did an ultrasound and CT scan. Apparently I have a bleeding cyst on my left ovary. Oxycodone didn’t touch the pain, and neither did Toradol. I messaged my GYN. I’ll be seeing him on Monday but he wants me to get an MRI. Of course no Advanced Radiology in freaking Maryland has any openings until Aug 21. I absolutely can’t wait that long. Shoot, I’m about to go back to the ER right now because this pain is absurd. I need a solution like right now. But what if I go and they won’t surgically remove the cyst? I don’t want to waste 8 more uncomfortable hours sitting in the waiting room when I need to lay down.
