I have endometrium polyp 11 mm. when i did ultrasound on the 8 th day of my cycle NP did mention that my endometrium is thick . I know what removal of polyp is recommended during 5-10 of the cycle , but doctor has availability only on the 15 th day of my cycle. should I proceed with the surgery or postpone it? as current polyp seems like to be relapsed from a previous surgery that was performed in 2023 attaching below ultrasound that was done on the 8 th day of my cycle thanks a lot ! submitted by /u/PlayfulRow8758 [link] [comments]

I have the mirena iud since June 2025. Back in June I was in and out of the hospital for severe pelvic pain in which they thought I had a pelvic infection (ended up not being it, all STD swabs were negative) but they ended up finding an ovarian cyst. I had some form of infection as I had a fever and my white blood cell count was going up (they then thought my appendix). Anyways, ever since this I feel like my pelvic area hasn’t been normal and I often get cramping. But the other week I had this discharge with a big lump of something (I’ve never ever had anything like that before so I was quite concerned) I did take a pregnancy test which was negative. But just tonight I had similar discharge (not as much) but small pink red circles with a white/yellow tail like shell attached? I am now curious what this might be and if anyone else has ever experienced something similar? I’ve never had an iud before but my body is used to birth control. Hi guys! I took the morning after pill on 2 instances. I know it’s not a form of birth control but I did what I needed to. I’m currently in between my actually birth control pill I’m going to get on my new one but for the time being me and my bf had 2 accidents. One we had sex one we didn’t and it was pure stupidity which led to fear of pregnancy. This never happens but it did. so naturally, I took 2 plan b’s. I spoke to my pharmacist and she said it should be ok. First plan B (July 31): took the pill within 24 hrs of accident. I also finished my period on July 28-30 and we had sex on July 30. Second plan B (August 4th): took the pill within 24h of accident. We had sex August 3. I was meant to ovulate August 8th so my app is showing I was fertile the time we had sex. I don’t know how accurate the app is as my period has been changing recently. I also know plan b isn’t very reliable when you are ovulating. Today (August 9) I woke up with my breast very very very tender, also a bit more plumb than usual. I know that’s a sign of pregnancy so I’m so scared. I think I did what I needed to do taking the plan b’s but I’m so worried. We never have accidents where he’s finish anywhere near me but I really don’t know how we managed to let this happen this time. I also do take birth control normally but I don’t know. The second time wasn’t even sex 🤦♀️ it was just bc semen got close to my vagina and I got fingered sorry tmi… I just was worried and pharmacist said it was prob better to take it. I wanted to share a story about my wife because so many women go so long without answers. The first thing I’d like to say is if there’s no easy identifiable cause, consider ischemia. For 10+ years my wife has been dealing with severe pelvic, stomach, hip, and kidney pain. She was finally diagnosed with May Thurners and the doctors also believe she has Fibromuscular Dysplasia. There can be so many different conditions that cause pelvic pain. So please consider ischemia if you haven’t perfectly identified your condition or before you have a hysterectomy. If you’re allergic to contrast, you’ll need to pretreat your allergy which can be done days in advance prior to your scan. MRI dye is not the same as CT dye and there is a CT dye that is new and doesn’t cause the allergic reaction. I have a c section scheduled for 9/3, I went ahead with this idea because it seemed easier to know when baby was coming than to play a little bit of a guessing game. I am now debating about doing a c section for vanity reasons. I KNOW women’s bodies change through out pregnancy and life, I am not looking for body positivity, but I want to understand the likelihood of regaining my six pack (seen in the attached picture, I’m actually pregnant here but didn’t know it). I’m 5’5 and started at 108 lbs as I’m a semi professional runner and am now 163 lbs with baby boy in the 95th percentile at 36 weeks. No stretch marks to speak of and no leakage/pelvic floor issues. My experience with the HSG exam (no pain at all) : I know that this exam can cause some anxiety and stress beforehand, so I wanted to share how it went for me and hopefully help you know what to expect. I went to an imaging centre to have a hysterosalpingography, or HSG, to check whether my fallopian tubes were still open — in other words, whether sperm could potentially travel through the tubes towards the egg. Before the exam, I had to do a few things. First, I was asked to have a pregnancy test to make sure I wasn’t pregnant, because an HSG cannot be performed during pregnancy. I had to have the blood test 48 hours before the exam. I went to a laboratory to have it done, and you don’t need to fast before this type of blood test. I was also asked to bring a few things with me, including a speculum and the contrast product. I was prescribed antibiotics to take on the morning of the exam as a preventive measure. So there are a few things I would recommend planning ahead. Check the paperwork you were given when the exam was scheduled and make sure you know exactly what you need to bring and what you need to do beforehand. This will help you avoid having to cancel or postpone the exam at the last minute because you don’t have something you need. I would also recommend planning to take the day of the exam and, if possible, the following day off work, because the exam can be tiring. Personally, I was very tired the day after the HSG, so I was glad I had the opportunity to rest. On the day of the exam, when you arrive at the imaging centre, you may be asked to empty your bladder first. Then you’ll need to undress from the waist down, and the nurse will ask you to position yourself in a certain way so that the scans can be taken. For me, the doctor then came in and explained everything she was going to do. She injected the contrast product and took scans to see whether the contrast would pass through my fallopian tubes. I'm (49F)so confused at the moment, and I am hoping for an explanation that clicks for me because nothing online feels like the answer, and even my gynecologist appears to be scratching his head. (Further testing is coming). I have always had a pretty normal menstrual cycle. Never really painful (I've been lucky that way) and never irregular. I had my first child at 19 and my 2nd at 34. Both vaginally and both traumatic. The 2nd one caused pelvic prolapse that required surgery at the Mayo clinic 1 yr after she was born and now, I feel like the prolapse is starting to return, but I don't know if this is relevant. Also, post second child, my periods were so heavy that I had to go on the pill to level them out, and it worked great, so I stayed on the pill until I was 48. For probably about a year (maybe a little less) starting at 47, my periods began to get more unpredictable, and even on the pill, they started getting irregular with breakthrough bleeding until they eventually stopped all together in the beginning of 2025. After a few months of no period at all, I stopped the pill, and I never had one again for about 15 months. So, I'm thinking that I hit menopause, but it was so mild, and I was thinking I hit menopause lottery because I had no real uncomfortable symptoms. 15 months later (June of 2026), BOOM! Period is back. Like...what? And what was so weird is that it felt completely normal. It had the mild crampiness before it started, and the flow was not concerning. No clotting or anything. It lasted 4 solid days and then went away, which was pretty typical for me. Google said that I should consult with my gynecologist, so I did. He ordered an ultrasound that I have coming up on Tuesday (today is Sunday). No explanation online makes sense, and his theories aren't really clicking with me, either. Especially since 5 weeks later, it is here again. So, 2 months in a row, and it feels pretty normal. I can be a tad dismissive with my health. I'm the type that looks for

Hi! I was referred by my doctor for a Pap smear and to submit a cervical swab or vaginal discharge sample for GS/CS with ARD (antimicrobial resistance testing) . However, I am currently taking antibiotics for stds I wanted to ask: How long should I wait after finishing my antibiotics before having these tests done to make sure the results are accurate? I'm embarrassed to ask but need answers, im 33yrs old and have NEVER seen this before but today I went pee and when I wiped it was fine but it was kinda sticky like snot jelly but super clear and then I wiped again it all came out, the jelly stuff, and it was a lot covering the toilet paper. It was super sticky, clear, and had no smell. Condom always stays on, I tested negative for yeast and cervical / vaginal swapping STI test about 30 days ago. Today I noticed this patch on top of my hymen that looks really red and almost dry (reminds me of freeze burn in raw meat) — I had around 2 rounds of sex 80h ago, unprotected oral but protected vaginal, and just now have noticed this problem. I don’t feel any discomfort while peeing or touching it at all with my clean fingers. I haven’t tried sex or fingering at all in fear of hurting myself. I am truly worried on whether this could be Herpes type 1 (HSV-1) — or could my hymen just be bruised up? I originally went to ER (history of miscarriages) thinking I was 7 weeks 2 days based on LMP. Ended up measuring est 5w5d : yolk sac , gestational sac , and fetal pole seen & measured .24mm No heart beat yet. 12 days till next ultrasound, had it on the 4th. There was a heartbeat seen, baby measured .99CM They didn’t tell me the BMP but the clinical notes stated it was healthy and strong. Now it’s crazy to me, that based on my LMP I ovulated around est 13 days late which is crazy. Has anyone dealt with something similar and actually figured out what was causing it or what helped? For a while now since 2024 end of the year, I’ve had recurring abnormal urine tests. I almost always have trace red blood cells in my urine (microscopic) and frequently have leukocytes or bacteria etc, but I don’t always have typical UTI symptoms and 90% of the time my culture comes back clean. My urine usually looks normal, but toward the end of peeing it can get cloudy with little white particles/sediment. I also usually wake up at least once during the night to pee and get recurring lower back pain. I have had confirmed UTIs before, but other times my cultures come back negative, unclear or “contaminated/dirty.” I’ve had a completely normal cystoscopy and my kidney imaging was reassuring. One CT over a year ago did suggest I may have had a kidney stone. I’ve also had two abnormal Pap smears showing abnormal squamous cells but negative high-risk HPV, and I’ve been dealing with some ongoing gluten/GI issues. I’m exhausted from going to different doctors and never really getting an explanation for why this keeps happening. If you’ve experienced something similar, what ended up causing it? What specialist helped you? Was there a particular test that finally found something? I just need any help I can get. Right now I’m laying on the couch just not sure what to do. I’m on day 2 of my period and was feeling around my pelvic area and felt the skin was slightly lifted where my ovary is on the left side and then I looked in the mirror and saw this tiny bulge on the left. I (29f) got the copper IUD 6 months, before that I was not on any birth control. Not too long after the insertion I began having reoccurring ovarian cysts (confirmed by ultrasounds) and multiple infections (BV and 3 UTIs, which I have never had prior)… I have never spent so much time at the doctors as I have in the last 6 months. Like many medical topics on women’s health, there is not enough research on the side effects of copper IUD, along with the other coinciding medical problems. Hi. I’m 42 and just had a total hysterectomy last December (kept my ovaries). On Weds I had excruciating pain in my lower left pelvis. I’m talking 10 out of 10, screaming in pain. I tried multiple things. Heating pad, Advil, tramadol, gas-x. Nothing helped. Finally I caved and went to the ER. I threw up on their floor when I got there. 🥴 Within my 8 hour visit, they did an ultrasound and CT scan. Apparently I have a bleeding cyst on my left ovary. Oxycodone didn’t touch the pain, and neither did Toradol. I messaged my GYN. I’ll be seeing him on Monday but he wants me to get an MRI. Of course no Advanced Radiology in freaking Maryland has any openings until Aug 21. I absolutely can’t wait that long. Shoot, I’m about to go back to the ER right now because this pain is absurd. I need a solution like right now. But what if I go and they won’t surgically remove the cyst? I don’t want to waste 8 more uncomfortable hours sitting in the waiting room when I need to lay down. Hi so i’m 19F my bf is 21M here’s a backstory I had a period July 10th that lasted until July 13th the last two days July 12+13 i had sex no condom i had sex again 14,15,16,18,19 and then had a my period AGAIN the 27th and 29th with sex unprotected that day Sex on the 30th of that month and then the 1st 3rd,5th and 6th all unprotected. I’ve never spotted during ovulation until this cycle. Started on CD10 when my fertile window began and I’m currently on CD18 and still spotting on/off. It’s not a lot, I doubt I’d even have to wear a pad. It’s mostly when I wipe and the color is dark brown - not like a usual period for me. But I do also have mild cramping on/off that’s a lot like my usual ovulation cramping. I just so happened to have a doctors appointment scheduled yesterday where we discussed it. She took a few tests - I think to test for infection/bacteria, which I’m still awaiting results for. She also made me do a pregnancy test which was negative. She said she’d probably refer me to an OBGYN if the tests she did came back negative (you have to get a referral from your GP where I’m from). I’m incredibly scared it’s something malignant like cancer. I have a lot of health anxiety. I’ve of course read almost every story on here and on Google. Hi! I had a colposcopy and biopsy (two punch biopsies) following and HPV-positive smear test on 8 July, and 7 days later had sex with my partner. After this, I did not bleed during sex, but a couple hours after, I started spotting. This then became full-blown bleeding -- like a light period. It was accompanied by cramping. I thought it was my period, so ignored it for about 7 days, when it was still the same steady flow. On July 23, I saw my GP, who did an exam and said that it appeared as though I was bleeding from the biopsy site. He prescribed tranexamic acid, which I took for the following four days. I think somewhere in this time, I did get my period, but I'm not sure. I continued to bleed (though with no cramping), and it did slow down, so the next week, on 30 July, he told me to go the acute gynaecology clinic to get the site recauterised. When they examined me, I was not actively bleeding (despite light bleeding earlier in the day and after this examination - sigh!). They noted that I have a cervical ectropion, which may be contributing to this. They also surmised that the area could be infected, so they put me on co-amoxiclav (however, the swab they took ended up being normal). 1 week later, and the bleeding is more like spotting, but still experiencing this every day. The cramping has returned and is worse (though still not unbearable). I went back to the clinic yesterday, and again, (!) I wasn't actively bleeding when they used the speculum, and they suggested the cramping is just due to my cycle. With that being said, I never have period cramps or cramps at any other time in my cycle, so I'm finding this quite bizarre. Does anyone have any insight into what could be going on? For reference, I have taken a pregnancy test and am not pregnant; I have had intercourse, used a tampon, or had anything else in my vagina since 15 July. Right-side pelvic pain — cyst found on follow-up ultrasound Hi everyone, I posted a while back about ongoing right-sided pelvic pain (full original post here for context). Quick reminder of the pain pattern: right lower abdominal pain (sometimes higher) triggered by a full bladder, sitting down abruptly, the start of urination, and sometimes wiping after using the toilet — occasionally radiating to my lower back, hip, or anus. Update: I finally had a follow-up pelvic ultrasound, and it showed a 4cm cyst on my right ovary, described as having an “organic” appearance. The Doppler was negative, the contours were regular, but the inside was described as « heterogeneous++ » An MRI has now been scheduled to look into it further. Has anyone had a similar finding — an organic-appearing ovarian cyst with heterogeneous content but negative Doppler? What ended up being the diagnosis for you ? Hello! I’m just asking for some other girls opinions and support, what would you do in my situation etc. This started when I was 18 11/20/25 a bartholin cyst developed and was really uncomfortable, I had it drained the next day, it wasn’t fully drained but it went down a lot and they said it was all they could get out for now but it should go down. They said it was just a cyst not an abscess, only blood came out Fast forward the cyst never fully drained and showed back up again in its original ping pong ball size 12/6/25 so I had it drained again the next day, same thing happened it wasn’t fully drained but they said more would come out later and it didn’t I think within a week it showed up a third time so I scheduled a marcupulization surgery and had that January 7 2026 Immediately after the surgery I STILL felt the cyst it was not gone at all but they gaslit me into thinking that oh it’s just swollen. I’m honestly not sure what they did cause it was the same just hurt and maybe ever so slightly smaller Naturally the cyst returns again in its full size on the 21st I forgot the exact date but then I had a second marcupulization during spring break, this time the cyst was gone but as it healed my labia started splitting and now it healed open. I’m left with this divot that leads to my gland. It’s like I have another vagina and the edges are fully healed so it’s not going to heal back together it’s just stuck as a hole with edges that are gaping and big/ swollen out. I’m far out from my surgery now so my doctor said the appearance won’t change really. It’s still tender to touch and I feel like it could get infected easily but my doctor said it shouldn’t. He said I could leave it as a hole or the solution would be (and this is hard to imagine) he takes some sort of clamp and pulls the inside of the hole out making it form a little cone, then cutting it off and sewing it up… This could potentially undo the marcupulization. This post is not me looking for advice or having a question, I just wanted to share that I had visited my first ever male gynecologist today because he had a lot of availability. I thought my female gynecologist wasn’t professional, but this may have been the worst visit I’ve ever had. I felt completely dismissed, nothing really answered, and to make it worse, while he was examining me and swabbing me he asked me if my coffee shop would sell him a bottle of our pumpkin syrup. I’m in a vulnerable situation right now, do not ask me about pumpkin syrup!!! He was asking too many questions about myself and maybe that was to make me less nervous but it made the experience worse, I don’t want to tell you why I flunked out of college or talk about my job. I am a 19 year old. I had aborted my 6 week old pregnancy with unwanted kit pills. Hi girls! I came here just for some advices and/or a pep talk (😭)! I'm almost 17 years old and I've never been to the gynecologist. I've recently (about 5 months ago) started having sex with my boyfriend, and have been experiencing increasingly more painful periods in the last three years. My mother says that I need to go to the gyno, especially because I lost my virginity and all, but to be quite honest, I'm HELLA scared. I am reaching out on here because I don’t know what to do anymore. I have this type of irritation (see on picture) in the entrance of my vagina, vaginal mucosa. Penetration has become impossible due to the pain. It’s a really bad burning sensation. I seen about 6 doctors, 4 gynecologist and 1 dermatologist. No one knows what it is and they don’t do any further testings. I have tried estrogen cream and another cream called clotrimazole, both of them didn’t work. They also obviously did all the std tests and pap tests, all came back negative. Does anyone know what kind of doctor I can go see? Gynecologists don’t seem to be helping. Hello, I’m at 22 year-old first time mom and I’m currently 12 weeks pregnant. As far as medication goes, I’m on Lexapro, Zofran 4 mg PRN, metronidazole, vitamin B 6 25 mg and baby aspirin, 81 mg. I’m 112lbs. Last night I ended up in the ER for syncope and bleeding. I was worried about my baby so I went to have her checked on. They told me that I had a large subchorionic hemorrhage (11cm), baby is 5.8cm long. The ER physician put me on bedrest and pelvic rest both and told me to get cleared by my OB before being able to return to work since I work with children with behavioral issues who often agress towards the stomach. This hemorrhage was caused by one particular child who hit me in the stomach a few days ago. As a result of that, I was unable to come into work today and lost my job. My primary question is; Is there any way to heal a subchorionic hemorrhage? What should I do? My OB reached out to me via email because she saw I was in the ER, but she said that there was nothing I could do about it nor did she give me any restrictions or precautions to take. I am really at a loss for what I am supposed to do next. Do I continue to follow better rest protocol? My pregnancy was already high risk because I have type one diabetes so I’m already seeing maternal fetal medicine. I’m so scared and unsure of what to do, I don’t know when I’ll be able to afford insulin again since losing my job, and I’m terrified of losing my baby. On the brighter side baby was doing really well last night on the ultrasound, she had a heart rate of 161 and was moving around lots. I understand it was my responsibility to ask questions and get as much detail as I needed to feel comfortable with the operation but I really feel informed consent means going step by step through what is going to be happening to my body even after anesthesia. I did not know that the antiseptic washing of my vagina and cervix would take place most likely not even by the surgeon in the OR as part of prep or that my legs would be strapped down. I feel the most upset and angry at myself for not understanding/asking enough questions to push back on the OBGYN who strongly was against me having an in office procedure for my 1.3cm polyp removal. Is it common to experience feeling dirty/gross/just off after a surgery/procedure like this? Am I being dramatic? Hi everyone. My girlfriend and I are both extremely anxious and would really appreciate some advice. My girlfriend usually has irregular periods, and her cycle is often delayed by 10–15 days. Her last period started around June 15, and on June 19 (the 5th day of her period), we had unprotected sex after her bleeding had already stopped. I never ejaculated inside her, and although we had sex multiple times that day, I withdrew before ejaculation every time. Around July 29, she started experiencing symptoms that usually mean her period is about to start, such as lower abdominal cramps and pain, but there was no bleeding. We had unprotected sex again that day, and once again I did not ejaculate inside her, even though we had sex two or three times. As of today (around August 6), it has been about 48 days since the first day of her last period, and she still hasn't gotten her period. She continues to have intermittent cramps that feel like menstrual cramps, but there is still no bleeding. We took two home pregnancy tests on August 4, and both were negative. We are both under an incredible amount of stress and are really scared. Based on this timeline, how likely is pregnancy? Can the negative tests be trusted, or is it still too early because of the July 29 encounter? Could stress or her naturally irregular cycles be causing this delay and cramps? Should we wait a few more days and test again, or should we see a gynecologist as soon as possible? Any advice or similar experiences would mean a lot. I've been having continuous uterine bleeding for a little over 2 months. I saw a gynecologist on August 3rd, and she prescribed Trapic MF (tranexamic acid + mefenamic acid) three times a day for 5 days. Oosure-M SR (myo-inositol + metformin) once daily for 30 days. Freedase 30 (ethinyl estradiol + dienogest), which she told me to start on the night of August 8. It's now been 3 days since I started the medications. The bleeding has definitely reduced in intensity, but it hasn't stopped completely. Hi guys so I am 21f and I am posting on here because I just got my results for a pelvic exam back and my gynecologist went over the results with me just last week and said that they found either an ovarian cyst or benign dermoid tumor on my right ovary. She said that as of right now it is 1.7 cm in size and is too small to remove. I am worried as I don’t have too much knowledge on this and a rumor automatically sounds bad in my mind—even if it is “benign”. I have another appointment with her this week to discuss it further in person and get a transvaginal test done to get a better look since I didn’t do it the day of my ultrasound as I was on my period. For some background, this all started in late February after I had sex with my partner and later in the night I awoke with the worst pain on my lower right side which got worse when I went to urinate. However, I had work the following morning and decided to wait it out and see if it would get better which it did but the pain never really went away. I eventually went to the ER to get it checked out asap and make sure that it wasn’t my appendix and the only a norma thing they found was that I have a retroflexed uterus and the IUD I had inserted was malpositioned where it was lower that it should be and one of the arms was embedded in the muscle of the front wall of the uterus almost to the level of the serosa. They suggested this could be the cause of the pain, but also referred me to a GI doctor because I have a history of stomach problems. I ended up getting a colonoscopy and everything was for the most part normal and now i’m taking linzess which has somewhat been helping normalize my bowel movements. However, I still always feel uncomfortably bloated when I eat, even if it is just a little bit, and especially on my right lower side. Given all of this, should I be worried? Could this have been the cause of all my pain? And would it be smart to get an IUD since that is initially why I had the pelvic exam to se did it

Hi everyone 18f here, for the last few days i firstly noticed my pee smelling very strongly and sweet. i was a bit worried on why but i ignored it. today i woke up and i was sweating and i smell literally like pancakes. literal maple syrup. i even smell it on my sheets and blanket too from me sweating on them. i’m very worried what it can possibly be from because it can be from a million things. me and my bf had a ton of sex from july 25-30. unprotected and he’s finished inside me i can’t even tell you how many times. i’ve never had any guy came in me like that. due to our circumstances then i didn’t shower or pee after sex. i did when i had gotten home but that was several hours before. It's been posted a few times, but BCBS IL, TX, New Mexico, Montana and Oklahoma (all HCSC companies) have instituted an automatic downcoding policy whereby all 99215 and 99214 claims are only being paid as 99213 since 7/1. These are the biggest commercial insurers in their states. BCBS IL controls like 70% of the market in Chicagoland. This is a massive revenue loss and the only way around it is to go through a laborious process of appeals that are slow, unclear and are also controlled by BCBS. I know practices that are likely to close if this continues. At the very least, it's a massive increase in labor costs. I'm just amazed at how little coverage it's getting. None of the major health news websites are reporting on it. I hear the AMA (which is headquartered in IL) are having internal meetings about it, but no press releases or anything. Private medical group facebook groups are blowing up about it, but that's a small part. It's terrifying how utterly detached physicians have become from their own billing. So many I talk to who are directly affected don't even know it's happening. We're looking at 20-30 percent reductions in salary because of this. Hi everyone’ I’m 20 years old, and I’m looking for some reassurance or advice. In May 2025 , I was diagnosed with adnexitis/PID , but unfortunately I didn’t complete the treatment at the time because I didn’t realize how important it was . A couple of months later, I was re-evaluated and diagnosed again with a mild case of PID (metroanexitis) . My ultrasound showed no free fluid in the pouch of Douglas , and my doctor prescribed a 3-month treatment with doxycycline, metronidazole, and Duphaston. I’ve completed the first month and still have two months left. (I should also mention that I tested negative for chlamydia ) My last menstrual period started 23 days ago. This morning I woke up with mild pelvic discomfort and noticed a small amount of bright red, watery bleeding. It smells like normal blood. I don’t have a fever, and the pain is mild. I’m really anxious because I’m afraid that not treating my first episode properly may have caused damage to my fallopian tubes , and now I’m worried this bleeding could mean the infection is getting worse or that I could have long-term fertility problems. I will check with the doctor, but Im so scared that my PID has caused or will cause infertility. Has anyone here had mild PID that wasn’t treated immediately and still gone on to have healthy fallopian tubes or a successful pregnancy? How likely is it to fully recover after proper treatment? I'm gonna be fully honest and blunt here, CW for blunt language . . . I'm having abnormal bleeding/discharge and my cervix seems to be hanging lower than normal, and also feels like there is a bump of something coming out of it? The whole cervix is conical, hanging lower as if I were menstruating. The bump is of similar texture and tissue density. The discharge changes between brown, off white, and pink/red, as of the past 2-3 weeks. . Never had kids (childfree), also had a cauterization tubal ligation back in 2017. Started smoking canna again, lightly. Have been slightly inconsistent with my NDRI medication. Have a new, bit more endowed partner as of 3 months ago. Suggested hEDS in the family. No STDs/STIs, my pap and exam as of 2 months ago came back completely normal. I am not menstruating - the timing is between cycles, not ovulation or menstruation (I have a 33-35 day cycle). Could any of this be contributing? . Before anyone says "go to the doctor/obgyn/urogyne", I plan to if this is something I need to get checked out. However, I'd be months on a wait-list (because state insurance), and I also haven't yet met my new (AFAB) doc after my previous one left the clinic. So any doctors visit would need time or money to go to, hence why I'm asking here. . Could this be a uterine prolapse? Or a prolapse of a uterine polyp? I have a Kyleena IUD and had unprotected sex from Friday night into Saturday morning. I’m not even 100% sure if my partner ejaculated, but I remember being extremely lubricated during sex. Since then, I’ve been having a lot of watery/yellowish discharge. It’s enough that when I stand up after sitting or lying down for a while, it sometimes runs down my leg or soaks my underwear. Today (Tuesday), it’s still happening. The discharge is light yellow/off-white, not green or gray. It doesn’t have a strong fishy smell, and my underwear doesn’t smell bad. I have a little vaginal soreness, but I think that’s from friction during sex because I sometimes get that after intercourse. I also have mild cramps, but that’s also something I usually experience after sex. I don’t have a fever, intense pelvic pain, or significant itching. Has anyone experienced this much discharge after sex? Could this still be a mix of vaginal lubrication and semen, or does it sound more like BV or another infection? Hi I'm 21 and I very frequently have pain in my nipples. The only thing that helps is a few gentle pinches with the sides of my fingers and it goes away for a while. However I have these little white dots that appear, especially around my period, and sometimes a more clear liquid type thing, and they either wipe away like a teardrop would or they're little beads like from a pimple (that one is rare). The left nipple (should be first pic) also has these harder lumps as seen on the cusp of the nipple tip thing (excuse my lack of knowledge, I never got a sex ed class thanks usa). They kinda hurt actually. My gyno says it just happens sometimes and it's probably like clogged or whatever, but I've been driving myself CRAZY each month taking shitty quality pregnancy tests I got in bulk thinking I'm starting to lactate because I'm pregnant as if I don't have an IUD and use condoms and y'know show no other signs obviously because they're always negative!!! I'm trying not to mess with it but it's totally pissing me off, like wtf is this and why does it hurt!! I don't want to lactate but am I causing it by messing with it when it hurts?? Side note: on the right nipple there is a little miscolored dot, it weirdly acts the same as the top of the nipple? Like if one of the little glands or whatever got misplaced lol but probably like a pimple that keeps like refilling or something and looks the same ? 32 yo, have been bleeding after intercourse for over 5 years. Most the time it’s completely painless. I’ve seen multiple gynecologists, and none of them have been able to find a cause or offer any real treatment. At this point I’m honestly just exhausted and frustrated. It’s really started to affect my self-confidence. I’ve had STI testing, Pap smears, and a pelvic ultrasound, and everything has come back normal. I’ve also used estrogen suppositories for 6 months with no improvement. While I’m relieved nothing serious has shown up, I just want answers and a solution. I’m looking for advice on what else I should ask to be tested for. I haven’t had any hormone testing done, which I don’t really understand since one of my doctors said hormones can sometimes play a role. Has anyone else dealt with this and eventually found a cause? hi im 23 and i have had ovarian cysts in the past, a 6 cm cyst on my right ovary which resolved with birth control, and in April my gyno found a 2.6 cm cyst on my left ovary which I never treated because it was considered small but i’ve been having kind of irregular periods (my last cycle was 25 days, cycle before that was 15 days, and the 4 cycles before that were 23 days). Also, i have pressure in my abdomen, bloating, and i lately ive been feeling the pressure when I have bowel movements as well. I’m around ovulation right now and for the past 5 days i’ve been having sharp stabbing pains mostly in my lower right abdomen and some in my left but not as much. It’s not enough to make me super concerned but it is distracting when I am working to deal with the pain. My periods are super painful, but they have always been that way. On the second and third days of my period, I have to take 8 advil just to be able to go to school and do my daily responsibilities. Also before the 15 day cycle i was spotting for 5 days, and I’ve been getting lightheaded and dizzy very easily when I stand up. Should I go to the gyno? I’ve gotten ultrasounds before and given my history with cysts i don’t think my gyno would give me a problem but I dont wanna make the trip there if its probably not anything. So I (20F) was supposed to get my period a few days ago but as of right now, there is no blood. However, I’ve been experiencing the same symptoms that I usually would during my period like cramps and mood swings. I also feel like I am bleeding but when I check there is nothing there. I haven’t had penetrative sex but I have been seeing a guy and we’ve had oral sex and I let him finger me. I was having the standard BV smell and then gritty foul smelling discharge at the end of my period and used metronidazole on the last day of my period. I started having these clumps come out and felt around up there by my cervix during my shower and a bunch of these clumps kept coming out. They're not squishy like normal blood clots and almost look/feel like tissue. They don't have a particular smell. In February I was hospitalized for the flu and they ended up finding a 2.6 cm uterine fibroid but not sure if that's connected! Also worth noting I am queer and have not had sex with a man in over a year. I’m 25 years old and I’m in Italy. Since February of this year, my vaginal swabs have repeatedly shown different aerobic bacteria, including Enterococcus faecalis, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Group B Streptococcus, and Escherichia coli. Sometimes these bacteria are detected, and sometimes they are not. I have taken antibiotics several times, but the side effects were very difficult for me to tolerate. Also, the culture results usually only report “rare colonies” or “numerous colonies.” My vaginal pH has consistently been around 4, but I have had a persistent lack of Lactobacillus. For the past five months, I have been taking oral probiotics and using vaginal Lactobacillus suppositories, but I have not noticed any improvement at all. Over the past six months, I have also had four episodes of acute cystitis. I noticed that almost every time I developed a UTI, my vaginal swab from that month also showed Enterococcus faecalis. Two weeks ago, my swab again showed numerous colonies of Enterococcus faecalis. My doctor told me she does not want to treat it because many women carry it without symptoms, and she believes it is only asymptomatic colonization. However, this month I developed abnormal vaginal discharge. It is white, odorless, and looks like wet pieces of tissue paper or small white flakes. My vagina also feels extremely dry. I haven’t had the normal clear, stretchy ovulation discharge for about six months. My cousin is currently in her final year of nursing school (general nursing track) in Vietnam. During her clinical rotations across various hospital departments, she has collected some of the weirdest, funniest, and most absurd patient stories. I wanted to share 10 of them with you all: A high school girl came to the hospital with her parents, who insisted she was suffering from severe appendicitis. I'm trying to figure out if coming off high dose progesterone especially after 2-3 period cycles returning if dizziness is normal from hormones fluctuating? I stopped Aygestin (norethindrone acetate) from being on it for one full year from last April to this April. I stopped it in April, I had a cycle in May and June is when the dizziness started after my second cycle and going into my third cycle so four weeks of dealing with this. This has never happened prior to this medication, or on my periods ever. This is my first experience being on high-dose synthetic progestin and it's making me nervous for the future. I'm waiting on a surgical consult for a hysterectomy in November. I have endometriosis and mild to moderate pelvic congestion that was found after my first lap surgery last April. I just started a low dose mini pill Heather birth control after 3 months of nothing because I am scared of this dizziness and the Aygestin messing me up mentally and it didn’t help my pelvic pain. Also painful periods are not fun. I had my iron, thyroid ect checked out and it's all fine. I'm seeing a ENT in a few days. My obgyn I love her but told me to reach out to pcp and I have done that so maybe she wasn’t concerned about it being the medication or my hormones? It reminds me of coming off an antidepressant dizziness I've experienced before and grateful that subsided. hello, all. i've been prescribed to do a pelvic MRI by my gynecologist for pelvic pain and an ovary that is could be too close to my uterus. the thing is, i haven't been able to do it. every time i take an appointment, i end up cancelling it because thinking about the whole process of getting an MRI causes too much distress and anxiety. from the cleaning / enema (english isn't my first language, apologies if this isn't the right word!) to thinking about potentially putting a gel up there and all the injections and being stuck in an incredibly loud machine for an hour... it's all too much for me. i'm absolutely terrified of most medical appointments involving injecting things and being naked to some degree, and i have a deep hatred for loud noises and feeling stuck. so this is impossible for me. i'm seeing my gynecologist next week and hopefully will find a way to still get a pelvic exam in some way. i've already done an ultrasound and x-ray, which didn't show much... i'm so exhausted of being so scared but there isn't anything i can do. i can't take medication for anxiety because it always has a huge effect on me and exhausts me so much. have any of you dealt with things like that? are there any alternatives for MRIs for people who are terrified of being stuck, loud noises, being injected too many things? thank you. submitted by /u/chouchappell [link] [comments]

Hi. I have been having some vulvar inflammation that is actually starting to improve. I recently went back to the gynecologist and asked to be tested for "everything" before being referred to a vulvar specialist. This included an STD PCR panel, which included Trichomonas Vaginalis. The test results went into the portal over the weekend and I had a positive result for Trichomonas Vaginalis. I am in a monogamous relationship and have been for 14 years. I have never been tested for trich before and neither has my partner. I read that you can have trich for many years without knowing/having symptoms. My partner swears that he did not cheat - I know it sounds naive, but it would be EXTREMELY out of character for him to do something like that and, for what it's worth, he sucks at keeping secrets. I know I didn't cheat. As I mentioned, I do have some vulvar inflammation, but that is actually healing with removal of irritants and gentle care, so I don't have any trich symptoms. As I mentioned, I read in many places that trich can be present and asymptomatic for many years, but could it be the case for 14 years? Again I know it sounds naive, but I lean toward believing my partner and we've never had any trust issues in the past. He also had me go through his phone and offered to show me the GPS data from his work vehicle. His company tracks GPS data on all their work trucks and will write up/fire workers who take the truck to a location that isn't an appointment. He also never really goes anywhere without me, beyond short, provable errands. Is it possible that one (or both) of us could have gotten trich before the relationship, even though we've been together for 14 years? My doctor prescribed me Primolut and it went very awful. I ended up in the ER for heavy bleeding and extreme pelvic pain. They took blood and just discharged me with tranexemic acid and melefanic acid. The ER doc told me to stop taking the Primolut. I’m confused on what’s happening. hello! I am a 22F looking for advice/help. In June of 2025 I got diagnosed with IC. Doctors currently think it’s endometriosis. However, since February I have been dealing with reoccurring yeast infections. Currently having the worst one of my life. Since I have had 4+ in a year my primary care wants me to go on a preventative measure with fluconazole (1x a week for 6 months) I am currently in the induction phase but still having all discharge, itching and redness. I am scared since I’ve had to many (all random) sometimes near my cycle- sometimes not that they may be resistant to the diflucan? Is that a thing I’ve hear people say biofilm created too? I have no burning while peeing but some slighting burning and itching on my labia majora. Is this vulvodynia? Please help anyone with a similar situation or experience. I have ordered: Life-Space Probiotic for Women and a biofilm defense supplement. I am already dairy free and about 80% gluten free. I don’t have much added sugar I stick to honey and maple syrup. So about 4 months ago I went to the doctor due to period cramps that would make me faint and get fevers. I also started having near constant abdomen pain which painkillers didn’t help with. I started birth control pills, which gave me 2 week period cramps. And a month or so ago I got an iud (mirena) which gave me the worst pain I had ever experienced. I live in a country where going to the doctor is last resort and we had to call the er because of the pain. After the spiral I also couldn’t eat anything, move properly, and sometimes I couldn’t get out of bed because it hurt so bad. I’m having it taken out before my vacation, but I seriously need advice on how to convince my doctor or gynaecologist that I NEED someone who will help me properly. 1 year in nursing and Currently working 3-12hr night shifts in an LDRP unit, and I love my job. I went into nursing to be a labor and delivery nurse, and I still love it, it is just not working for our family. My husband works out of state from March to the end of October, so I rely heavily on others to help with watching our kids (2 and 4) overnight. Hi all. Posting because I’m just annoyed and confused. Had a colposcopy 6/26, started feeling a ton of urgency to go pee the two following days. Got my period 6/29. It genuinely felt like I had a UTI! I was SO uncomfortable. (Not to mention this period was PAINFUL). I submitted a urine sample that got sent out vis Kaiser and it came back completely fine. I then had full on BV towards the end of my period. Such a disaster. Thankfully it had been a week since colposcopy, so I went the metro gel route. Cleared it up. Yay. The urgency and discomfort in my bladder still flared up when drinking coffee or alcohol, and unfortunately is still occasionally present. I don’t have any vaginal or pelvic pain outside of the urinary stuff. And it doesn’t hurt to pee! Just discomfort before Has anyone gone through this…? Does anyone have any advice? Has anyone else dealt with this? I almost never get wet, even when I’m turned on. This has been bothering me for a long time and I’m hoping someone here has experienced something similar. I’m 20, and I almost never get naturally wet during sex or foreplay. It doesn’t matter if I’m really attracted to my boyfriend or genuinely in the mood. Sometimes I really do want to have sex and I’m mentally into it but my body just doesn’t cooperate. We almost always have to use lube or spit. ( I know I know spit isn’t ideal ) What confuses me is that this wasn’t always the case. Before high school, I used to get really wet with no problem and for no apparent reason. 36F, 10 weeks, 5 days pregnant. My doppler picks up my heartbeat extremely loud. I'm very early in my pregnancy and a bit overweight so it's difficult, but due to a history of reoccurrent miscarriage I bought a doppler hoping for peace of mind. I hear a lot of whooshing and now and then heard a muffled rhythm *behind* my own heartbeat, as you may be able to hear in the video. I used a tap app to count the rhythm and it seemed to be 150-160bpm. I'm wondering if that is likely just another echo from my HR or bloodflow or if it sounds like it could be the baby's heartbeat? My baby is on my left side and at this stage probably still in my pelvis so I'm also wondering if that positioning is why I'm struggling to find it. Here’s the honest breakdown. 🇵🇷 Puerto Rico Good : • Patients and families are very involved (staff shortages mean they pitch in) • Nursing culture is warm on a personal level • Everything is in Spanish • People actually take their lunch breaks • The public system is battered, but it still covers the most vulnerable via “la reforma” Bad : • Ratios are brutal 1:14–20 med-surg, 1:2 ICU (despite Joint Commission accreditation… I knew JC was BS pre-COVID) *• Pay is set by legislated salary, not hourly hospitals lobby hard, not many unions, some unions are weak* *• The Puerto Rico nursing exam felt too easy (scary)* *• Pushy colleagues,I had to argue constantly just to get a patient a stretcher during triage* Benefits: • 15 vacation days / 7 sick days this was before a labor reform cut both, courtesy of the governor (haha) *• Workers comp is employer-paid, with its own dedicated hospital system for injured workers* Bonus for USA Redditors: the VA is considered the best hospital in Puerto Rico everyone fights to get a job there. Hi sorry for this ramble but I’m currently freaking out. I have a copper IUD (3 years old) and am NOT trying to be pregnant (bf and I both got laid off this summer) My period was late for 2-3 weeks then i started spotting for 2-3 weeks (which i thought was just a late and light period). This morning I believe I passed a decidual cast and I was pretty concerned because it was painful but the pain was gone pretty quickly after passing. From there on it just seemed the spotting turned into just my regular heavy period and cramps. Then I didnt think too much of it, thought it was just stress. Just now I took a pregnancy test in case and it’s positive. Like very dark line positive. I’m freaking out in the case that I might be basically 8 weeks with an ectopic pregnancy?? I’m going to try to walk into a hospital or planned parenthood hood tmr since most scheduling appts aren’t available for the next week or so. I was under the impression that white cooking wine was safe if you cook it in meals so I've used it a couple times during pregnancy. I recently read that no amount is safe for baby and now I am terrified. I am also afraid I didnt cook it long enough for it to cook out much and I am most worried about fetal alcohol syndrome....but also testing positive for alcohol in drug test at birth. (from washington state) in 2023, at 22 years old i got my “tubes tied” with Filshie clips on state insurance. i’m now 25 with 2 kids. Hi, i am not sure if this is the correct space for this query, please remove if not. i have a very abnormal labia. I think this is because I had a surgery when I was a child which included stitching. I am so very insecure about my labia. One side is normal however the other side is much much longer. Like 10+cm longer and protudes beyond the labia majora considerably. I have avoided all and any contact with others due to how insecure I am about it, I cannot bring myself to get a smear test or examination because of it. I have had thoughts about cutting it off (of course just thoughts..). I have looked at the labia library, reddit, vulva wall, porn and I have never seen another vulva/labia like mine. I am considering making an appointment with my gp to discuss this and see if i can be put forward for a labiaplasty but im so insecure and would really appreciate anyone to let me know if this would be worth it or not. I do not want to expose myself if its a non option on the nhs. I am also saving up with the hopes to go private but its expensive and i dont have much, if any, disposable income at the moment. I’m 20 years old, and in November 2025 I decided to stop taking Depo Provera after 8 years on the shot. The reason was due to shedding of my cervical lining and severe pelvic pain. My periods have been generally normal ever since (usually lasting anywhere from 4 to 7 days) with some mild to severe cramping during, but nothing unbearable. I started my period 12 days ago, and have been consistently bleeding ever since. It is heavy, clumpy, and ranges in color from brown to bright red to almost black depending on the day. It’s accompanied by the usual cramping i’m used to, but I’m also dizzy. 42F, never pregnant. I had EXTREME sudden abdominal/pelvic pain yesterday morning that had me writhing in bed to the point that I called 911 after dealing with it for half an hour & it not letting up. Naturally it started to resolve the moment I got to the ED, all my labs came back normal (including pregnancy test) and I got sent home, the pain hasn't come back and I feel great otherwise. But since yesterday afternoon I've been getting random gushes of pink tinged water (I know it's not water) from my vagina. No odor, but it keeps happening to the point I'm wearing a pad. Hey, so I (24f) was wondering if anyone experienced this situation or if anyone has any advice to give First of all please let me know if this is an ER NOW type of situation that can't wait longer to see a doctor, my appointment is on Monday I've been on the pill for a while and I only get my period twice a year when I take the white pills. I almost never get any spotting and if I do, its only for a day or two Recently I noticed brown secretions down there, I assumed it was old blood (still odd because my last period was 5 months ago) its maybe a tablespoon and a half a day with no blood clots, its very liquid and a bit granulated, with dark stringy mucus here and there. It will be 3 weeks on Monday. I've been getting abdominal cramps for the past 2 months but I dont know if it is related Clearly there is something wrong but I couldn't get an appointment sooner The reason I'm making this poste is to get ready for my appointment, im seeing my family Dr and not a gynecologist. The thing is, this doctor never takes me seriously and always just tells me to wait it out, and since we're not fixing my issues, i always keep coming back, which now labels me as a "hypochondriac". I plan on putting some boundaries and standing up for myself, but i dont know what i need to ask for. An ultrasound? Any type of scan? A pap test? A blood test? I was sexually abused as a child as as a result I cannot handle being touched. Even things like having my heartbeat checked or abdominal exams leave me feeling awful for days. My PCP just referred me to an obgyn for a pap smear. I know I wont be able to handle it, and there is a high possibility that the stress from it will cause me to harm myself or the provider in the heat of the moment. What is the likelihood that they would sedate or numb me for the procedure? I know that they probably wont have anesthesia just at the ready and it might not be covered by insurance, but if they understood the severity of the trauma would they be willing to put me under? My only other option is just not getting it done but then I get to listen to every doctor I see for the rest of my life tell me that it's really medically necessary and how I'm putting myseld at risk if I dont. I (25F) went to see the “best” OBGYN in the area. I felt violated and frustrated. I know this sounds stupid, but I really don’t think I wanna see an OBGYN doctor ever again. I’d rather die before doing that ever again. The first OB/GYN I went to tested me against my consent for STDs despite me telling her that that’s not the issue and surprise! It came back negative. I reported her to the medical board and that practice closed shortly after. The second OB/GYN I went to did an ultrasound and all it confirmed was that I had PCOS which I already knew since 16. I came back to her because I decently liked her and she stated because I’m 25 that when I was ready to conceive, then I can come back to her for help and to take muscle relaxant for the pain. She said unless I wanted to take birth control there isn’t much she could do. I asked about endometriosis and she said I’m too young and it’s too invasive. For the last year, I have had debilitating pelvic pain during my cycles. My cycles continue to come on time. I’ve never missed a period before however they are much heavier now. In the last year, I also had a lot of heavy clotting during my cycle and sexual intercourse also hurts. My periods are debilitating and gradually get better towards the end of the cycle but still painful after. The next issue, I’m also facing is fertility. He had an issue when I said I wasn’t married. I genuinely felt judgment. I explained that I had never been on birth control and don’t ever want to be on it. He also pushed for metformin and pushed for IUD. Which again I expressed many concern and he just shut them down. My partner and I have been having intercourse unprotected consistently for three years. I said I was worried and I know that having Hashimoto’s and PCOS can definitely make it harder, but it doesn’t make it impossible three years is a long time for a young age to not be able to conceive. TW: Mental healtb So this is going to be embarrassing but Im needing help. My Obgyn and Psychiatrist cleared me to continue taking my medication through out pregnancy. I am prescribed 10mg of adderall and I would typically cut it in half while pregnant down to 5mg because I was too scared to take the full dose. I took it as needed until 29 weeks and 5 days and stopped because im am on maternity leave. I am now experiencing alot of anxiety because I read an article where a woman was flagged for controlled substance and had her child taken away because she continued taking her adhd meds. I put myself into a panic attack, called my obgyn crying and called my psychiatrist for an emergency appointment because of the panic attack. They both assured me my meds are documented and that I have been approved to take them... convinced me for a bit until I started branching into other stuff like wondering about false positives. I ate a ton or everything bagels early in pregnancy due to morning sickness, what if babys meconium or umbillical chord tests positive for opiates because of the poppy seeds? I used cooking wine in some meals what if baby tests positive for alcohol. I was frozen and researching non stop for hours, didnt sleep well and still struggling with thoughts that somehow I will test positive for something that I didnt take because of what I ate or cooked with or there will be a mistake with my perscribed meds and then they'll take my baby. 32 year old Female. I ended my period July 4th so I believe I’m ovulating now. I will usually get that brown and sometimes a bit of red spotting discharge a week or two after my period ends but it goes away within a few days. This time I’ve been having it for almost a full week and I’ve noticed the brown/red discharge come out especially after pooping. Hi everyone! I’m 22 and fairly new to learning about endometriosis, so I wanted to share my experience and see if anyone has had anything similar. I’ve had extremely painful periods since I first started menstruating. They were severe enough that I started birth control around age 13, which helped significantly with the pain. I stopped taking it a few years ago because I developed migraines, and since then my period pain has gradually become much worse again. Recently, I went in for my first Pap smear, which came back normal, but my provider noticed that my cervix had an unusual appearance and referred me to an OB-GYN. During the exam, my OB-GYN found what she strongly suspects are prolapsed fibroids: an approximately 4 cm firm mass protruding through the cervical opening, along with several smaller fingerlike/ovoid masses on stalks. She deferred a biopsy because of the potential bleeding risk and planned a hysteroscopic myomectomy. I also have significant pelvic pain, including left-sided pain, and a recent ultrasound found a 3.2 cm simple left paraovarian cyst. My uterus and ovaries otherwise appeared normal on the ultrasound. My OB-GYN also suspects possible endometriosis because of my history of severe dysmenorrhea since menarche. My maternal grandmother had endometriosis and fibroids and eventually had a hysterectomy at 33. I know I don't have a confirmed diagnosis of endometriosis, but I'm wondering if anyone else has had a similar combination of severe period pain, fibroids, cysts, and/or suspected endometriosis. Hi guys! I’m 7 weeks today and im really paranoid from my last pregnancy that ended in a chemical so i noticed everytime i use the restroom i overly wipe like a lot.. so i used the restroom today and wiped like 10 times and on the 9th time i seen a little light pink line n then nothing when I wiped right after, then i used the restroom nothing then later on i used it again and there was a light pink spot on the toilet paper but then nothing so far afterwards. Sorry for the photo but I am desperate for any kind of help or advice. On the second slide I circled my current tear so you can see it better. So Im a 23 f with PCOS experiencing 2.5 years of yeast infections, BV, and ureaplasma infections. The onset came after i had an IUD put in, (the month prior I had a yeast infection but I’m not sure if it cleared completely before the insertion). Since then, I’ve tried many different treatment courses and lifestyle changes. And I did have the IUD removed 4 months ago. But I still can’t get rid of the infections. Since the beginning of the infections, I’ve been experiencing irritation and had mild symptoms. But for the last 6 months the symptoms have now increased and severely worsened, and I’ve even developed new symptoms. I now experience extreme irritation, persistent dryness, burning, stinging, numbness, deep pelvic pain, increased urination, pain with sex, intense itching, and have started getting little tears near the top of my vagina and near the vaginal opening. I’m wondering if there is an underlying or separate issue happening here (like a skin condition maybe? I do have eczema on my hands and elbows) or is it all just from the chronic infections? Hello, I'm 8 weeks post-op from a vaginal/laparoscopic hysterectomy for fibroids. They tore my vagina in two places, requiring 3 total stitches, during surgery and those have healed well. About a week ago I discovered I also have hymeneal remnants making my vaginal opening look very different than before surgery. It’s been a few months of symptoms and 3 doctor’s appointments, and I still don’t know what’s wrong with my vagina. For context, I’m a 27 year old Caucasian American female and have been living in Ireland for almost a year. I’ve had HPV in the past, but have been clear of it for a good two years now or more and had a normal Pap smear in January (all fine, but didn’t test specifically for HPV). I’ve been with the same partner for two years. Here’s a timeline of my symptoms and things I’ve tried: March/April • Discomfort started. Not painful, but it felt like something was getting hit by pee on the way out. • Similar feeling during sex • Similar to how I’ve felt before with BV/yeast April/May to present • Inserting a menstrual cup was/is uncomfortable and a little painful May 5 • Swabbed for BV and yeast • Result: negative Beginning of June • Actual pain during sex and faint blood after (once off occurrence) June 25 • Swabbed for BV and yeast again along with chlamydia and gonorrhea • Result: negative for all, but Group B Strep was found • Also tested my urine for pregnancy and infection and did a urine culture • Result: negative/all fine • Took Fluconazol to flush out any possible thrush • Result: no change Beginning of July • Discomfort turned to burning during pee and sex • After sex one night, I woke up in the middle of the night with an itch in my vagina I couldn’t scratch. I applied an ice pack, and after 20-30 min, the itch went away July 6 • Took 6 days of Keeflex (antibiotics) • Applied Canesten cream internally twice a day for 3 days while on antibiotics before starting period • Used Silcocks Base to wash in the shower • Result: feels the same, but maybe slightly better? Throughout this whole time, these have been my symptoms: • Discomfort/burning while peeing, having sex, or inserting menstrual cup (it’s not a sting like a cut) • Sometimes when I pee I feel totally fine, but most times not • Sometimes after peeing, the burn lingers • The location of the dis

I have a long history of painful periods, heavy bleeding/clotting, and bleeding between periods. i had a pelvic ultrasound on 6/29 and received the following results: IMPRESSION: 12mm vascular echogenic area within the lower uterine segment/cervical canal endometrium, favored to represent an endometrial polyp. Heterogeneous myometrium, may represent adenomyosis. RECOMMENDATION(S): Clinical correlation recommended. Given the patient's symptoms of menorrhagia, gynecologic referral for further evaluation with sonohysterography and/or hysteroscopy with possible polypectomy may be considered. This morning I (18F) woke up, went to pee and noticed a slightly pink coloured urine and discharge. I'm on the pill so I'm negative this could be anything pregnancy related. I am also on Wellbutrin bupropion, which can make me prone to dehydration and I also often forget to drink water. I'm very anxious on what this is because I've never had anything like this before. I just had a sharp pain in my lower abdomen, but I farted and it went away LOL. I have no other aches, no fever, but I have been feeling a bit 'dizzy' or rather depersonalized the past few days. I had a vaginal exam today, I felt comfortable for the most part until my female gynaecologist started to literally finger me in and out repeatedly for about four motions until I told her to stop. It took my brain a minute to comprehend what was going on as there was no explanation before hand. I felt sick to my stomach and a knowing something wasn’t right, she maintained eye contact the whole time with little expression. It was strange. Does anyone know of a recovery journal, blog, or photo diary that shows the different stages of healing after surgery? I'm 6 days post-op, and while I can find plenty of before-and-after photos, I can't seem to find any images showing what the healing process looks like in between! I'd love to see how other patients looked as they recovered, both to know what to expect and for a bit of reassurance. I've got a small lump along one of my stitches. Hi everyone. I'm looking for some advice because I'm feeling a bit lost. I'm currently in Vietnam, and a few days ago I went to a private clinic, where they only performed an ultrasound. The diagnosis was multiple uterine leiomyomas (fibroids) and a hemorrhagic cyst on my left ovary. The doctor told me I would probably need surgery, but since it was only a clinic, she didn't explain much beyond that or tell me what kind of surgery it might be. According to the ultrasound: Anterior uterine fibroid: 26 × 27 mm Posterior uterine fibroid: 16 × 15 mm Simple cyst on the right ovary: 12 × 17 mm Hemorrhagic cyst on the left ovary: 41 × 47 mm My current symptoms are constant but mild pain (similar to menstrual cramps before a period) and abdominal bloating. I'm planning to go to a hospital for a second opinion no matter what, but since I'm a foreigner and don't really know how the healthcare system works in Vietnam, I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who has had a similar experience or from any medical professionals who could give me an idea of how serious this sounds and what I should expect. If surgery is actually necessary, I would also really appreciate it if someone could explain what type of surgery is usually recommended in cases like mine and why. I just had my 6 week pregnancy confirmation ultrasound and the doctor suspects a vanishing twin within a single gestational sac. One had a strong heart rate while the other is suspected to be low but couldn’t confirm if it was an artifact from a nearby blood vessel. She also has concerns about it possibly turning into being conjoined? I’ve tried to do some research on it but have been seeing very limited information or statistics regarding this concern and would really appreciate some resources or explanations.
